Birds can see as we see

Birds have different visual abilities than humans, but they can still see many of the same things we do.

Birds have excellent visual acuity and can see details from far away much better than humans. Some birds, such as eagles and hawks, have even better vision than humans and can see small prey from great distances.

However, birds have a different color perception than humans. While humans have three types of color receptors in our eyes, birds have four. This allows them to see ultraviolet light, which is invisible to humans.

Birds also have a different visual field than humans. Many birds have eyes located on the sides of their head, which gives them a wider field of vision than humans, but less depth perception.

Overall, while birds can see many of the same things we do, their visual abilities are different and often specialized for their particular needs and behaviors.
