"Ser bueno"

"Ser bueno" is a popular statement which you can hear anywhere in Spain. Even today morning 🌻🌄 I heard this statement from few unknown peoples in a restaurant where I went to take my breakfast 🥞🍳. 

Spanish population is very old. Majority of people are over 60 years. After leaving my bed, I took a decision to visit a restaurant located at 5 minutes walks from my home 🏠. I frequently do visit of this restaurant to take my breakfast in weekend but normally I go there after 11:30 am. Today is Tuesday & a holiday, so I wake up early morning and visit the restaurant at 9 am for my breakfast. 

I surprised on entering in restaurant because there were many people with an average age of over 60 years taking breakfast & talking their issues of discussion. Somehow I found a seat, sat on the seat and ordered my breakfast 🥞🍳. 

Suddenly I heard two peoples sitting nearby me started to talk saying "Ecuatoriano, Colombiano, Peruano do very good job for us." Many people are very bad people. I knew that they started this talk because they saw me sitting & taking my breakfast. This is not the first time I face this situation. I started to read news on the screen of my mobile phone. After few minutes, one of them asked me where do I belong. I answered them telling my nationality. Then they said me many people are very bad people & what do I think "Ser bueno". I answered them noone is bad in the world 🌎🌍. Only circumstances make people to be considered bad. Normally people do anything to achieve their aims which you you may consider bad but others may consider the person as a good person. Therefore, only good people exist in the world. There is noone a bad person. I don't know I have answered them correctly or not. But I heard many people who are leaving the restaurant and saying "Ser bueno". 

"Ser bueno" means "Be a good person". Now I have a question: Why should we have to say "Ser bueno"? Do you consider people are bad people? This is a perception in general regarding people. Or in general, public have bad mindset, as, may be, it is identified from past activities when Spain had colonialism superiority in many countries, therefore, now "Ser bueno" terminology has been developed & we should remind people repeatedly "Ser bueno". 

Moreover, in Spain, you will hear the word "Ser bueno" everywhere. It a a word used regularly when you end the talk and say bye bye.
