Time
Blogging needs your time.
Time in finding organic traffic
A blog becomes successful if it receives organic traffics from different search engines.
Organic traffic means visitors who are real people & they are searching a topic to read for getting answer of their queries, & they find your website on search engines.
Paid promotion on search engines can bring few visitors on your website but the growth of visitors or subscribers will disappear on the day when you stop to pay for promotion.
I consider that you are a single person working with your blog like me.
I manage everything of my blog alone.
Time in research to find a new interesting topic
Our mind can imagine unlimited numbers of questions and, of course, can design the related topics, however, which one is interesting for public & which one is trending at a time of publication of your article, require a good research, technical & analytics skills, good awareness of current affairs & public demands.
Identifying the appropriate keywords needs skills & experience.
Time in writing an original & unique article
You have to invest many hours of your life in writing articles.
First, you have to find a topic which must be very interesting for you so that you become encouraged to write article easily.
Otherwise, you become bore during writing, thus, you will not able to give a good touch to article.
Time in updating an article
You have written an article and publish on your website many years ago.
You need to update it time to time with recent information, otherwise, no one read it because it lacks updated information. And, of course, the gigant search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Bing etc only show those articles on the top list of a search which have high engagements of readers.
Readers spend few time reading the article. So, if your article is not updated with new information, it will disappear from search engines with times.
Now you require time in finding old articles, identifying them, then performing a research on topic, and the updating the articles with new information.
Suppose you have 100s of old articles, then you need sufficient time to update them regularly.
