Precautionary suspension of AstraZeneca's COVID vaccine

Vaccination with Astra Zeneca made anti Covid-19 vaccine has been temporarily suspended in many countries. This is due to possible cases of blood clotting after vaccination. 

What to do if I have already taken the first dose?  First of all, we have to calm down.  

This situation, at least, indicates the transparency of the pharmacovigilance system. The relationship between the cause and effect has not yet been proven. 

There will be a solution for each case as well as situation.

All these unusual blood clotting were preceded between 3 and 14 days after vaccination. 

A case of cerebral venous thrombosis, specifically of the venous sinuses, which developed with a reduction in platelets, which implies irregular coagulation activity is reported in Spain. 

Only 1 case in Spain, 4 in Germany and 3 in Norway are reported. Spanish patient evolves favorably. 

There are very few that have been fatal. 

We have to look for the benefit / risk. 

Let's think of 17 million are vaccinated. If these people were infected, 1% could eventually die, then we could have 170,000 more deaths in Europe. 

This is a direct benefit of the vaccine. Indirect benefits: hospital and ICU admissions.

The Spanish case and at least 2 of the Europeans is a very particular thrombosis that is associated with a decrease in platelets.  

It is highly rare but it could be that in these very specific cases, so different, thats why it has been considered the precautionary suspension of vaccination.
